Why Use?

Grammar

With the Grammar dimension, the ability of the candidates to use the language and the mastery of spelling rules of the language is measured. Grammar dimension contains hundreds of questions of all difficulty levels.

Listening

Listening is the ability to understand spoken language. recruiters can test how well the candidates are at understanding complex topics or terminologies depending on the required level of proficiency. Talentate Language Proficiency Tests also contain hundreds of listening questions under each difficulty level from beginner to proficiency level like all other dimensions.

Vocabulary

Vocabulary is important as it forms the base of a language. They are raw building blocks that can be used to express thoughts and ideas, share information, understand others, and develop personal relationships. With this dimension, candidates’ mastery of the use of words and richness of vocabulary is measured.

Reading

Questions of the dimension require understanding written text, which can be complex and difficult. Especially for high-level positions, it’s essential to be able to understand written text, such as e-mails, contracts, and articles.

The Language Proficiency Tests consist of English, Arabic, Russian, German, French, and Turkish languages.

CEFR Compliant

CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is an internationally valid scoring criterion that shows how well a person can speak and understand a language. In the Talentate Language Proficiency Tests, the scoring of the results of the candidates is made and show according to this criterion.

Distribution Graphics

The distribution graphics show the percentage distribution of all candidates who took this test according to their scores. There are two dimensions of graphics; company distribution and overall distribution. The company distribution shows the distribution of candidates who are exclusively included in your company, while the overall distribution shows the distribution of all candidates who took this test in the country.

Add Rule Feature

If the most important competence of the candidates for a recruitment process is language proficiency and candidates who fall below the expected proficiency will not continue the process, the candidates can be eliminated from the beginning by determining the rule for the assessment set.

Safeguard Against Cheating

During the test, candidates are photographed randomly at regular intervals. This is a precaution against the possibility of the candidates taking the test fraudulently or with assistance.

How to Use

Assignment Step

Candidates’ information is entered into the system as name-surname, e-mail and/or telephone. Candidate entries can be loaded in bulk into the system with an Excel file quickly. At this stage, candidates can be assigned to a position in the system if desired.

Testing Step

Candidates log into the system via the invitation link, login code or QR code sent by the recruiter and they complete the test within the specified time interval.

Assessment Step

Recruiters can view the results as visual and statistical data after the tests are conducted by the candidates. Recruiters can also examine which question was done wrong and which was done right by viewing the questions in person.

What are the different levels of language proficiency?

In the Talentate Language Proficiency Tests Module, candidates are graded according to CEFR criteria. The CEFR framework consists of six levels of competence: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. This goes from A1, beginner to C2 proficiency level. A1 indicates that the candidate’s language proficiency is at a basic level. The C2 level indicates that a candidate can understand and be involved in complex social and business interactions.

What kind of precautions do you have in case the candidate tries to cheat?

The recruiter can optionally set the test as mandatory for candidates to keep the camera on during the test.

The camera captures the image of the candidate at random time intervals during the test, through the algorithm created by the Talentate. The algorithm detects if the candidate acts suspiciously during the test. Accordingly, it is considered suspicious if a second person appears on the screen during the test, or if the candidate turns off the camera. While the recruiter screens the test results of the candidates, the candidates who are found suspicious by the algorithm will display the results marked in red.

Talentate Language Proficiency Test questions are prepared in cooperation with the highly skilled language professionals of the linguistics departments of reputable universities and language academies. These academicians have at least an M.A and many have a Ph.D. Tests are created in accordance with international standards. The question pool is constantly increasing and updated. These prepared test questions are constantly reviewed by experts so that misleading and potentially erroneous questions are avoided.
